Heat-recovery enabled pipes
Demonstration, Low temperature district heatingIn classic district heating grids, up to 15-20 % of all the energy produced does not reach the customers due to heat losses. This is a weakness with district heating which we are addressing in COOL DH.

Design Guide for Low Temperature District Heating
Demonstration, Low temperature district heatingThis guide by Cetetherm explains how to design and prepare buildings to be able to integrate low temperature district heating. It will assess the best of hot water and space heating system design for different buildings categories.

A VIRTUAL STUDY TOUR TO THE WORLD’S LARGEST LTDH-GRID
Brunnshög, DemonstrationSince the pandemic prevents us from welcoming visitors and arrange study tours, we decided to arrange a virtual study tour to Brunnshög that you can join whenever you like.

Xplorion – a pioneering multi family building with climate friendly solutions
Demonstration, District heatingXplorion in Lund is a world-class innovation project for those who want to live sustainable. The building focuses on climate-smart solutions that are highly present in the tenant’s everyday life. Two solutions within COOL DH are demonstrated in Xplorion: Local energy solution with heat pump hot water topping and an innovative three-pipe solution.

Join us at The Future of Thermal Grids
Conference, WebinarOn the 25th - 26th of November COOL DH will attend the conference The Future of Thermal Grids, and you are invited!

From traditional DH to LTDH in Østerby
Demonstration, District heating, Høje-Taastrup, Low temperature district heating, ØsterbyA new low-temperature network has been designed to upgrade the old and obsolete traditional district heating-network in Høje-Taastrup. This report provides information about the final design and the implementation of the low-temperature district heating network and can be used as a guideline of the installation process for future similar projects.

Corona, webinars, CPS and new substations: COOL DH newsletter #4
Demonstration, District heating, Innovation, Low temperature district heating, NewsletterIt has been a strange spring. Each person around the globe has felt the effects of the spread Covid-19, but so far it has had a relatively limited impact on the overall progress of the COOL DH-project.
There has been some problems with deliveries…

New type of substation to meet the requirements of LTDH
Demonstration, District heating, Høje-TaastrupThe transition to low-temperature supply in district heating networks requires new technical solutions to meet the heat requirements of the consumers and guarantee their safety. The new distribution system at the COOL DH demo site in Høje-Taastrup does just that!

Producing heating, cooling and surplus heating for the LTDH grid
Kraftringen, Low temperature district heating, MAX IVIn COOL DH we develop and demonstrate a range of technologies to supply low-temperature networks with heat without compromising the users' comfort and the efficiency of the district heating system. In Lund, Kraftringen has installed a heat recovery system at MAX IV research facility, supplying the new Brunnshög district with low temperature district heating.
