The COOL DH conference:
Towards next generation of district heating
Took place 18th and 19th of May 2022

We had two days in Greater Copenhagen where we deep dived into the European future of district heating and the results of the pioneer project COOL DH. We got inspired by the full-scale demonstrations in the City of Lund (Sweden) and the City of Høje-Taastrup (Denmark). They cover new low-temperature district heating developments, tested in a large scale. The conference includeed both presentations, discussions and site visits.

Logistics
Transport from Copenhagen Central station and Copenhagen airport to Malmö Hyllie station:
Regional trains from Copenhagen Central station and Copenhagen airport bound for Sweden leave every 10 minutes. The journey to Malmö Hyllie station takes 26 minutes from Copenhagen central station and 12 minutes from Copenhagen airport and cost 12 € one way.
Malmö Arena Hotel is located 250 m from Malmö Hyllie Station, easily reachable in less than 5 minutes on foot.
Transport from Copenhagen airport to Copenhagen Central station:
There are several possibilities to arrange a travel from Copenhagen (Kastrup) Airport to Copenhagen:
- Regional Train from the Kastrup Train Station to Copenhagen Central Station: cost 36 DKK (approximately 5 EUR).
- The local metro takes you to several areas in Copenhagen.
- Taxis can pick up passengers outside terminal 1 and 3 and will get you to downtown Copenhagen in about 20 minutes depending on the traffic. It will cost approximately 250-300 DKK (35-40 EUR).
Transport from Copenhagen Central station to Høje-Taastrup Station and Høje-Taastrup Town Hall:
Regional trains from Copenhagen Central station to Høje-Taastrup Station leave every 10 minutes. The journey to Høje-Taastrup Station takes 15 minutes and cost 9 € one way.
Høje-Taastrup Town Hall is located 500 m from Høje-Taastrup Station, easily reachable in less than 10 minutes on foot.
Taxis can pick up passengers outside Copenhagen Central Station and will get you to Høje-Taastrup Town Hall in about 35-45 minutes depending on the traffic. It will cost approximately 500 DKK (70 EUR).
